Job Responsibilities
Engage with the Dean, Associate Dean and faculty of the college(s)in order to stay up to date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audiences’ attention.
Ensure stakeholder engagement, brand consistency and a positive stakeholder experience.
Develop messaging strategy for the college(s) aligned with short-term and long-term marketing goals of the college(s) (in collaboration with the Dean) and university.
Collaborate with the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing (SCM) marketing and design teams to create, improve and keep up to date college- and program-specific marketing and communications content, both print and digital, to achieve the broader strategic goals of the university.
Ensure events (e.g., student recruitment) are supplied with relevant college and program collateral.
Create and publish engaging college content for traditional media, website, collateral, social media and more.
Leverage media contacts to ensure placement of stories in leading English and Arabic outlets.
Ensure compliance with law (e.g., copyright and data protection).
Work with the SCM digital team to:
Optimize college content according to SEO and monitor metrics to identify and implement best practice.
Manage college content distribution to online college channels and college social media platforms to increase web traffic.
Ensure pay-per-click marketing is maximized for the college(s) and programs.
Develop and roll-out paid digital campaigns to generate leads.
Monitor print and electronic media platforms for college coverage and presence.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned by the Dean.

Qualifications, Competencies and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, mass communications or journalism.
Demonstrated success in marketing and communication skills and in achieving set communications and marketing targets.
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in marketing and communications.
Proven work experience as a marketing manager, preferably in a university.
Hands-on experience with MS Office and web content platforms.
Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
Expertise in social media.
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Arabic.
Good organizational and time-management skills and ability to work to details.
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders including senior management, academics, industry experts, alumni, and current and prospective students.
Ability to communicate complex specialist ideas in an engaging and accessible way in order to appeal to a wide range of stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field.
