MANAGER, CLINICAL INTELLIGENCE, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, UAE

This position is responsible for leading CCAD’s clinical intelligence reporting team. The primary focus of this position is to identify, develop, and analyze clinical and operations data for strategic vision implementation, hospital quality improvement and operations performance improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Develops and implements clinical intelligence reporting policies and procedures

– Serves as a technical, analytical and business reporting lead for clinical and business outcomes, performance measures, regulatory and clinical registry reporting

– Liaises with Leadership, Management, Physicians, etc. in determining reporting needs and communication/translating of findings; Ability to express complex analytical and technical information to Executives or to Institute or Department leads

– Delivers metrics related to hospital accreditation, specialty certification and Department of Health regulatory requirements

– Provides technical and analytical guidance to Clinical Intelligence Analysts

– Understands data modelling, databases, business intelligence technologies and analytical and statistical techniques

– Utilizes technical skills to develop systematic, automated, and statistically significant reports using enterprise business intelligence tools

– Identifies, analyzes, and documents business requirements and delivers work products throughout the project life cycle

– Translates business requirements to system and functional requirements, and then works independently or collaborates with Information Technology (IT) to build the functionality using enterprise business intelligence tools

– Synthesizes information from multiple sources of data; Manages consolidation of complex data into meaningful information for business decisions and strategic planning

– Develops standard reports in graphical format, using enterprise business intelligence tools or other reporting systems, for distribution to the CCAD Board, various stakeholders, medical staff and quality and safety committees

– Contributes to enterprise-wide data and analytical prioritization decisions

– Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

– Minimum of five years’ experience in health care with prior experience with complex clinical, operational and financial data and analysis

– Epic or other Electronic Medical Record certification required

– Experience working with and writing SQL queries for data extraction and report writing required

– Demonstrates a strong proficiency in data management, including data acquisition, mining, analysis, data integrity management and reporting

– Excellent database, problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills

– Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques

– Comprehensive knowledge of medical, diagnostic and procedural terminology

– Has a working knowledge of aspects of patient care provided in a healthcare facility

– Familiarity with Joint Commission, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and other registry and regulatory reporting bodies

– Understands the design of healthcare documentation systems

– Proficient in the use of PCs, spreadsheets and other software applications

– Strong oral and written communication skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

– Bachelor’s degree is required

– Master’s Degree with an emphasis in health information, statistics, economics, MIS (business perspective) and/or business preferred
