We are currently recruiting for a Manager – Media External Communication (Arabic) for our Client based out of its head office in Dubai.

Job Purpose-
The purpose of this job is to advise, execute and evaluate media relations and external communications campaigns that establish, reinforce and defend the reputation (brand image) of the Company and all its associated brands, in line with the overall Marketing & Corporate Communications Strategy as well as assist in achieving its commercial objectives.

Job Accountabilities
Support the VP in planning, research, executing and evaluating media relations programmes.
Pitching, briefing and escorting, media interviews for Senior Arabic Execs; translation and Arabisation of news stories and posts; media relations and crisis management support, Arabic social media management, training of company’s B&C team members on Arabic media and communication skills.
Manage the creation and maintenance of Arabic content across digital platforms in coordination with key departments, including Commercial, Operations, Strategy & Development and BT.
Support VP in managing communications pro-actively and transparently in times of crisis in order to maintain the company’s reputation.
Senior level media relations support to be based out of Company offices and support the communications teams with media relations planning and execution, including targeted pitching and advising of what stories would suit which publication and journalist.
Manage and build strong, pro-active relationships with Arab press regionally, internationally and Ensure positive and effective press coverage.
Manage the relationships with trade, business and general media to help generate positive media coverage and mitigate potentially negative coverage.
Manage and respond to the queries from the media with carefully researched and approved information in order to maintain consistency of the information provided to different media,
Ensuring alignment with Company’s corporate policy, and always keeping its corporate reputation in mind. Act as one of Company’s official Arabic spokespeople.
Draft speeches for HH and senior management in Arabic Language, Write Arabic news releases, editorial features, services for internal and external communications vehicles and Ensure that information about the products and services of company and its key business units receive optimal coverage in targeted media worldwide.
Plan and prepare His Highness, CEO, and senior management for Arabic media interviews by providing a briefing document and being in attendance to ensure the media does not overstep its remit.
Translate / arrange for translation, monitor / approve the quality of all Arabic translations of communications and marketing material distributed internally and externally including signages, briefing documents, factsheets, Q&As, executive presentations, press releases, advertisements Conversations and speeches.
Represents Company at various events and exhibitions as per planned PR strategy and ensure PR coverage is available at every exhibition and event.
Manage online monitoring and analysis of digital and social media coverage globally and in strategic markets and produce monthly analytical reports illuminating trends and recommending actions. Manage Arabic social media campaigns which drive customer awareness, acquisition and revenue generation.
Creates media campaigns, oversees and directs the organisation of press conferences including directing the activities of the Media Coordinator, by booking venue
Ensure appropriate branding, identifying and preparing spokesperson, writing Arabic speeches and news releases, preparing Arabic press packs and giveaways
Invite media and handling media queries and one-to-one interviews on-site.
Supervise the organisation of Arabic media tours which includes accompanying them on-site and briefing them on the facilities, plus preparing press packs and giveaways.
Provides ongoing counsel to Head of Corporate Communications and CEO, senior management as appropriate of protocol and approach with Arabic media to ensure / support positive brand image in the region.
Include leading organisation’s Arabic communication related to government programmes including, but not limited to, DGEP.
Building communication relations with Government PR departments to enhance partnership, Establish lines for knowledge and information sharing to improve and coordinate communications.

Skills
Degree- Professional Qualifications/Regulatory Requirements
Educated up to university degree level in Communication/Journalism or equivalent
Overall Experience (In Years)- A minimum of ten years media, social media and/or Public Relations experience in a large company, agency or publishing house.
Tools and Systems Experience-
Excellent business / professional level written and spoken Arabic, suitable for a variety of audiences
Proficient English language (written and spoken)
Working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications such as MS Word and MS Excel.
Understanding of the regional (UAE and GCC) media, how it works and have strong media contacts.
A good knowledge and understanding of the aviation industry and its general environment.
Translation from English to Arabic
Communication to a worldwide audience both B2B and B2C.
