We are currently recruiting for a Manager – Motor Claims for our trusted client in Insurance industry to be based out of their headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Job Purpose-
The job holder is responsible to Plan and implement claims management, Salvage and Settlement operations and supervise a team of Supervisors and Claims Assistants to ensure that motor claims are managed promptly in compliance with insurance policies and set company standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities-
STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Policies, Processes and procedures:
Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Budget & Plans Control:
Reduce the Claims costs by ensuring at the earliest stage if coverage is available in accordance with the Policy terms & conditions.
Ensuring proper scrutiny/ investigation of claims.
Ensuring maintenance of appropriate loss reserves, periodical review & records are up to date.

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to Day Operations:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of Motor Claims Processing team to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures
Periodical Review of ageing Claims thus improving the settlement ratios.
Settle/approve claims as per prescribed/designated financial authorities; ensure reserves are established/ maintained for reported claims as per agreed procedures and review of claims is taken up periodically.
Rejection of Claims:
Deal with invalid claims and ensure action required as per guidance of the Senior Manager (Motor Claims)
Ensure prompt and speedy processing of claims as per the set standards of service and see that all repudiations are fully investigated and communicated to the clients, explaining clearly the reasons why the claim is not recoverable.
Planning:
Plan the work for the Motor Claims ensuring that work is distributed effectively while prioritizing the activities of the unit in such a way so as to deal with critical matters and time-bound assignments effectively.
Guide, direct and motivate subordinates to work to their best potential while monitoring overall quality of work in the department/group and ensure that customer expectations are fulfilled effectively.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Provide technical support and guidance to subordinates whenever needed.
Audit all claims before entering them into the System.
Following all settlement by cheques/ payment on accounts.
Recovery /salvage procedures.
Review traffic circle accidents.
Negotiate with the customer on the value of the total loss.
Receive announcement curt and coordination with legal department.
Review of the judicial department in the front of conciliation and reconciliation
Supervise counter employees in receiving all daily Accidents
Check all daily Accidents received in respect of correctness of documents and insurance coverage of accidents.
Check all daily accidents in respect of negotiations made with repair workshops in calculating the repair cost and obtain approval of such cost by the Senior Manager (Motor Claims)
Check, examine and reduce the repair cost of all agencies in case repair will be made inside the agency.
Discuss with customers on total loss cases and agree with them on the compensation amount in coordination with the Senior Manager (Motor Claims)
Follow up the quality of the repair to ensure the best services to the company’s clients.
Backlogs:
Arrange to take action under the guidance of the Branch Manager / Senior Manager (Motor Claims) for any backlogs
Reports:
Provide Management with appropriate reports regarding the unit and compliance with operational policy and procedures.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating policies and procedures. Also, provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.

Skills
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Professional certifications:
Certificate in Insurance (CII), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate or Diploma in Chartered Insurance Institute (Dip CII or ACII), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Fellow Insurance Institute of India (FIII)
Requires 7 to 9 years of relevant experience
Full Professional Proficiency in English and Arabic language
Must be UAE National and possess Family Book
