Middle School Supervisor, GEMS MILLENNIUM SCHOOL – SHARJAH, UAE

We are currently looking to appoint a Supervisor to support the Middle School Section and to further develop the current efficient CBSE curriculum at GEMS Millennium School, Sharjah. This appointment will be made immediately with sufficient notices offered to current school.

Responsibilities include:

Lead initiatives in shaping and implementing the educational strategy for the Middle School Section.
Closely monitor and implement the school improvement plan at the Middle School level.
Provide assistance to the Headmistress of the School and to any other person/area detailed by the Head of School.
Implement the initiatives in the Middle School with the aim of improving standards of teaching and learning whilst supporting and strengthening school policies and practices, staff development, curriculum transaction, assessment, health and safety and parent engagement.
Have a thorough understanding of CBSE rules pertaining to the curriculum and pattern of assessment.

Skills & Experience:
At least five (5) years’ relevant teaching experience, preferably with two (2) years’ experience as an Assistant Supervisor. Previous experience in the same role is an advantage.
A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
An excellent team player both within the department and across phases
Excellent communication skills and proven track records of leadership qualities along with sound knowledge of co-scholastic areas.
Excellent IT skills.
Degree in the mainstream teaching subject / faculty in addition to a Graduate Degree in Education from a recognized university.
