REGIONAL FINANCE MANAGER (OUTSTATIONS) – Emirates Group , UAE

JOB PURPOSE
Manage Finance Review teams to deliver Finance Reviews for Outstations. As part of these reviews, provide management with guidance and independent appraisal of the effectiveness of risk management and governance across Outstations.

Job Accountabilities:
– Collaborate with management in Financial Risk Management (FRM) in defining the finance review strategy and implementation plan including the frequency of such reviews.
– Plan, manage and deliver finance reviews with a view to providing management with an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of risk management and governance across outstations. Proactively advise and assist management in the cost effective mitigation of risks, as well as in achieving protection and efficient utilisation of corporate resources.
– Work closely with Manager Finance Outstations in periodically reviewing the Finance & Accounting Manual for Overseas Stations (FAMOVS), and propose suggestions and improvements to ensure the framework is aligned to achieving FRM objectives.
– Identify areas for process/system improvements and undertake projects to standardise procedures and act as an interface between FRM and other departments across the Group. Manage projects through all stages to ensure that their progress, quality and the outputs in key areas are consistent with the scope and targets envisaged.
– Review the stations’ progress against agreed recommendations to ensure these are addressed timely. Where relevant, provide guidance and support to station finance teams in addressing the recommendations.
– Take responsibility for achieving FRM key performance indicators through leading effective delivery of finance reviews.
– Coordinate and conduct training and on job guidance to outstation finance staff on the efficient use of processes, relevant accounting system and automation features to improve their knowledge and enhance the productivity of finance teams.
– Manage the development, productivity and performance of the finance review team to achieve the overall FRM objectives. Identify developmental requirements, coaching team members when necessary to ensure they are equipped to fulfil deliverables and plan for succession.
– Where relevant pursue opportunity to deputize as Finance & Admin Manager, mainly for larger outstations, and as required for the commencement of new operations, managing the implementation of station accounting system, finance processes and procedures at stations and training of staff on related disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Finance & Insurance.Accounts : 5+ Years
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) :
Knowledge of rules and procedures under the local laws to take care of statutory requirements as necessary. Proven experience in working in a large multinational and dealing with stakeholders from different countries and cultures.
