Relationship Manager – Mashreq , UAE

Job Purpose
Support Unit Managers in maintaining complex multi-product Group relationships (Group Turnover > AED 3Bn) and solicit acceptable new relationships per identified market segments & geographical boundaries, by originating transactions across Bank’s product suite, to achieve pre-set financial & non-financial objectives.
Support in deal origination efforts and coordinating between client and product team(s) in the mandate execution.
Work with Credit Relationship Managers in undertaking financial analysis, credit risk assessment, risk rating and structuring of facilities for assigned corporate relationships, meeting the customers, preparing Credit Proposals (CPs) (new, annual renewals and amendments etc.) and liaising with Wholesale Risk Management (WRM) and the Compliance Unit to resolve all queries related to risk and compliance issues, respectively.
Maximize utilization of approved Credit limits, by facilitating transactions & addressing Operations &/or Documentation requirements.
Demonstrate understanding of Strategic Orientation of key relationships & provide backup for Unit Manager in implementing Relationship Strategic & Account Plan.

Key Result Areas
Review existing portfolio in a timely manner, prepare and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank’s credit policy to maximize earnings while containing risk to an acceptable level, and achieve a satisfactory rating on portfolio quality and credit management processes.
Quick and timely turnaround of CPs while maintaining quality of analysis.
Develop strong working relations with all existing clients at the decision making level, to position MB as their preferred bank.
Hands-on account management to ensure effective and timely delivery of the banks’ services/products to clients through proactive interaction across the bank, to attain desired level of customer satisfaction.
Maintain an active pipeline; focusing on ‘new to bank’ transactions / business.
Monitor account conduct of borrowers and provide information at each review, thereby ensuring effective portfolio management and ensuring that the portfolio quality is maintained by highlighting early warning signals.
Remain vigilant to the possibility of any money laundering activities in the accounts, and escalate all suspected money laundering cases to the Unit Manager and Group Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
In-depth understanding of multiple product areas of the bank, thus having the capability to constructively engage with client senior management to drive new business opportunities
In-depth knowledge of the Bank’s policies and operating systems.
Strong credit and marketing skills with understanding of economic trends vis-à-vis understanding of regional / global financial markets.
Strong interpersonal and communication ability.
Minimum 5 – 10 years of relevant experience is required.
