We currently have an exciting opportunity to join as a Senior Commercial lead for developing and implementing all sales operations developing and driving innovative change to improve efficiency of the selling and support frameworks required for the sales and commercial team to reach the company’s revenue targets. This is a truly diversified role dealing with internal and external stakeholders to drive the business.
Commercial lead on a portfolio of major strategic and cross-functional projects; such as Partner Airline Integration; joint venture/investment opportunities and associated third party relationships.
Identifies and delivers commercially strategic projects & programmes, so that Etihad’s Global Sales Teams are empowered to deliver against their revenue budgets. Actively seeks new opportunities and sees those opportunities through from conception to implementation and further development where appropriate.
Manages the multi-million dollar Commercial Property projects portfolio, from minor refurbishments through to game-changing strategic developments, such as the Etihad Travel Mall. Manages a large number of stakeholders to ensure property projects are delivered on time and within budget
Responsible for management of Commercial Readiness of New Route launches.
Initiates and manages commercial readiness plan for new routes to work with various internal stakeholders to ensures commercial set up, distribution, pricing and sales & marketing activities are put in place prior to commencement, to optimize the success of new routes.
Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of commercial policies and procedures, such as STPC, baggage allowance policy, FOC policy, revenue integrity (ADMs)
Ensures that the Commercial Department operate within the Corporate Governance framework at all times by ensuring all sales contract are within governance, PO compliance procedures are followed and Commercial audit failures are rectified in a timely manner.
Manages sales support functions across the sales network and HQ sales departments, providing timely support to the sales teams, including managing the sales helpdesk, organising sales training; ilearning/iprocurement support, new joiners’ induction,
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 8 years related experience within the airline/travel industry and/or similar environment
Minimum of 5 years experience successfully leading sales operations teams
Extensive experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Sales Force)
Experience developing digital sales platforms to enable the sales organisations
Experience working in a data driven environment
Experienced in developing game changing strategy with follow through into execution
Experience managing global sales projects (e.g. sales incentive programmes etc.)
TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
Detailed knowledge of Airline, sales & distribution and customer strategy and developments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced analytical capability.
Project management skills
