Strategy
Provides necessary support to Head of Strategy and Business Excellence in developing, updating and tracking the long and short term strategic plan of the organization. Participates effectively in conducting PSET analysis on annual basis and incorporates the outcome into the strategic plan.
Communicates with Heads and Directors to develop yearly objectives to headline KPIs as well as monthly targets; creates monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the management summarizing the performance of the organization.
Responsibilities include aligning MZA’s strategic plan with Abu Dhabi’s vision as well as coordinating the development of the organizational strategy across MZA including resource allocation, key initiatives, and performance indicators and managing the implementation plan. Other responsibilities include assisting Heads and Directors in developing departmental KPIs and initiatives ensuring alignment with the overall organization’s strategic objectives and outcomes.
The Strategy Manager is also responsible for principle functions such as maintaining the long term business and financial plan of MZA while identifying improvement areas, evaluating obstacles & setting development methods & processes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the development and updating of organization long term strategy plan and yearly business plan in line with Abu Dhabi Plan 2020.
Ensure alignment of business unit strategic plans and KPIs with the organizational strategic plan and KPIs.
Manage the development of organizational & business unit specific objectives (KPIs & projects) for the strategic plan.
Develop a long-range financial plan aligned with the organizational strategic plan.
Prepare an annual business plan in line with the long-term strategic roadmap & overall plan.
Prepare AD Plan report to the Executive Committee and coordinate with participating entities to obtain necessary information.
Lead operational reviews by tracking the progress of business units against strategic KPIs and initiatives by collaboratively working with business units to track the progress of their respective objectives against the business plan.
Work with Heads & Directors to facilitate decision making for their respective business units & support with securing necessary approvals to implement projects.
Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports and ensure on- time delivery.
Lead & execute management operational meetings; ensure appropriate preparation and follow up on action items.
Develop reports and presentations for Board meetings.
Supervise the process of conducting market research and data analysis, while ensuring strategic alignment to MZA’s strategy & vision.
Identify improvement areas, suggest enhancements, ensure implementation of approved actions & evaluate operational effectiveness.
Evaluate new business models & corporate relationships.
Identify & target attainable opportunities in the market.
Examine the profitability & effectiveness of products/services & line of business in order to re-direct resources.
Ensure departmental strategic plans are aligned with set strategy.
Ensure that strategic projects are delivered within scope and budget.
Develop a detailed project plan to track project progress & perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Manage the preparation of strategic reports and analysis requested by other government entities.
Manage the preparation of strategic reports and analysis requested by the management team.
Ensure that processes related to Strategy are adhered to by all departments.
Build strong working relationships across all twofour54 business units.
Manage and prioritise daily activities to ensure that the most urgent and important management and customer needs are delivered.
Manage Commercial Analyst, develop his/her abilities and knowledge in the field of Strategic Planning.
Be pro-active in offering support to colleagues across the team – adopt a “one-team” approach.
Troubleshoot areas of poor performance and offer solutions to resolve issues both in the immediate future and for the longer term.
Exhibit excellent spoken and written communication skills both in Arabic & English.
Share best practice in skills and knowledge amongst the team.
Ensure lessons are learned when mistakes are made, and changes are introduced as a result.
Maintain a close working relationship across all twofour54 departments.
Keep up to date with changes and developments within twofour54, and share these with colleagues as appropriate.
Proactively communicate and escalate issues where necessary.
Provide class room or one-on-one training for employees on job related topics including basic skills, compliance requirements, systems and product knowledge.
