Job Description
This position incumbent is responsible for delivering legal and contractual risk management support and advice across the business. Provide legal advice on tenders, contracts, projects, Insurance, supply chain etc. Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
Manage preparation, negotiation and administration of contracts and submit regular reports on contactors’ performance and compliance.
Strives for continuous business process improvement and make necessary changes when needed.
Provide guidelines to consider the mandatory provisions of the applicable laws as the subject of the legal service request.
Review new contracts at the tendering stage, identify clauses that may be detrimental to the company, and take exceptions as necessary.
Assist Tender Managers with any other contractual and commercial matters that may arise when tendering, including tax, insurance and guarantee issues.
Assist in the performance and review of risk assessments for effectively develop and implement a compliance monitoring plan.
Assist Project Execution Director / Managers and O+M Managers in maximizing the value of their contracts, for example by raising variation requests, managing subcontracts effectively and avoiding claims from clients or vendors.
Support Project Managers and O+M Managers in presenting the Company’s position to clients, and advise managers on what their contractual rights and obligations are.
Assist in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
Provide summaries of contractual and commercial issues to senior management.
At all times, work in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environment procedures and the Company’s Operating System.
As necessary, perform other duties, requiring essentially the same level of skill & responsibility when required.
Maintain a current knowledge of applicable laws, and regulations. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the subject tot eh legal service request and report important compliance developments. Evaluates changes in legal/regulatory requirements and unsure that timely appropriate action is taken.
Manage the contracts and follow-up on the contractors’ performance to ensure compliance with the requirements and contract terms and conditions.
Consult and confer with the concerned department on appropriate contracting procedures and provide expert advice on managing and controlling contracts.
Coordinate with the Finance Division to review and approve Contractor’s invoices and ensure compliance to contract terms and conditions.
Act as the point of contact for both internal and external customers in regards to contractual issues.
Draft, negotiate, and implement new contracts, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
Maintain current contracts by updating demographics, fee schedules, and any service changes.
Conduct training programs relevant to legal compliance issues.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, Strong analytical Skill, giving strong attention to details, Strong problem-solving skills, excellent work knowledge of the legal functions.
Minimum 8 years of experience in legal, contracts and agreements related to Industrial/Infrastructure and O+M Projects (EPC and Operation and Maintenance ), with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position.
Must have KSA experienc
Fluent in English and Arabic languages.
Good command of oral and
written English Language)

Law Graduate, and commercial or engineering discipline degree
