Environmental Engineer – Refinery – Aramco , Saudi Arabia

Position Description:
Saudi Aramco’s Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation team is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to work in the Jazan Refinery. The refinery will have the capacity to process 400,000BPD of Arabian Heavy and Arabian Medium crude oils to product gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel, benzene and paraxylene.

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will have:
A bachelor degree in environmental or chemical engineering.
At least five years of experience in environmental regulations and standards, working in oil and gas or petrochemical facilities.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Monitor the facility operating and business plans objectives are consistent and in-line with environmental protection policy and all applicable environmental department policies, GIs and standards.
Identify deviations and developing solutions to environmental problems.
Perform waste minimization assessments and advise on the handling, treatment, and disposal of solid, liquid, hazardous and toxic wastes.
Monitor quality water return from terminal, refinery and IGCC to be in compliance with government regulations.
Monitor the solids and chemical disposals to guarantee a safe environmental protection in compliance with government regulations.
Monitor air quality and marine habitats.
Implement the industrial waste manifest system study.
Conduct special studies such as air, marine and groundwater modeling; and risk assessments.
Conduct hazardous waste management studies.

Evaluate significance of hazards and determine proper disposal and management methods.
Monitor and establish industrial wastewater impact of construction projects.
Alert to different process units and environmental damage.
Advise and establish plans for treatment and containment.
Perform quality control checks and advise to correct malfunctioning equipment.
Perform studies about auto emissions and possible acid rain.
Perform environmental impact studies for any construction projects to be developed in terminal, refinery of IGCC.
Conduct environmental awareness program to insure Jazan Facilities.
Prequalify environmental contractors.
