Reporting to the Institutional Excellence Director, the successful candidate must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the department of Institutional Excellence in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will lead and manage all efforts on institutional research which focus on managing data collection, research, analysis and reporting of information to support the College in various strategic planning, policy development and decision making aspects.
Candidates will lead data collection projects within the college to provide accurate information to support planning and decision-making activities. The candidates will plan, design and manage implementation of surveys, test survey reliability, and ensure accuracy in data gathering and preparation in alignment with CNA-Q’s policies, procedures and processes.
Candidates will also conduct external research on assessing the impact of governmental initiatives on CNA-Q and trends in higher education, as well as, surveys to benchmark CNA-Q’s institutional performance against that of comparable organizations. Candidates will maintain and disseminate information, data, benchmarking studies, reports or research material to support strategic planning and maintain overall effectiveness of the College.
Candidates will contribute to the policy development for the department and lead its implementation, as well as, develop and monitor the department’s procedures, processes and guidelines. Candidates will develop and monitor the annual budget of the department and monitor performance of the department vis–a-vis established KPI, in conjunction with the Institutional Excellence Director.
The Institutional Research Manager will provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates to contribute to the development of employees and must have excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, delegation and communications skills as well as the ability to act as a mentor to team members.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field is required
Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Institutional Research or related field.
3 years of managerial experience.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred.
Other Required Skills:
Highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a desire to achieve organizational success. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking and has the ability to analyse complex data. Experience in research and planning in higher education. Knowledge of Qatari higher education environment. Knowledge of and experience in project management. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. Significant experience leading qualitative and quantitative research methods and group facilitation sessions. Knowledge of and experience in the use of presentation, reporting, statistical and database applications. The candidate should have the ability to anticipate change and effectively manage quality and risk at all times. Effective resource management is essential. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisations is required. A Commitment to ongoing training and continuous professional development is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills and fluency in English language is required, Arabic language is an asset.
