About your Job:
The Pricing Manager is responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a team of pricing professionals at Qatar Airways. In this role, you are responsible for the Pricing strategy and operations for several regions/ sub regions. You will provide the leadership and change management necessary to the team and work within the Revenue Management team as well as other commercial areas to realise Qatar Airways’ budget objective.
You will ensure that there are clear processes in place for development, implementation, monitoring and adjustments of pricing strategies for Qatar Airways growing international network. You will use a data driven approach to develop new market pricing strategies and campaigns. You will use consistent business processes while also taking into consideration individual market specifics. You will implement robust and effective processes to ensure competitive pricing with focus on time-to-market. You will engage different strategies and tools and regression based pricing to support decisions.
You will lead key process interfaces with other head office and outstation commercial departments. You will ensure the development of constructive and collaborative relationships between local and regional sales teams and Revenue Management. You will identify opportunities to improve the cooperation and collaboration of Revenue Management and Sales such as enhancements to training and development programs, communication protocols, etc. You will perform fare class alignment and product usage analyses and recommend improvements and fare restructures as needed.
You will define and implement, with other members of the Revenue Management Department, a pricing approach and associated system, to automate workflow, reduce errors, and introduce analytical decision – support tools, processes and methodology to record pricing actions and statistically correlate actual results to actions. You will define the business requirements for Qatar Airways’ future pricing workflow management and decision support system and the implementation of associated work processes. You will partake in new pricing system and database projects as needed to move Qatar Airways to the forefront of pricing within the industry. You will guide team members on specific performance analysis on a O&D, route or regional or network levels and develop recommended actions for improved RASK performance.

About you:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in technical/quantitative programme with minimum of 8 years of job-related experience. You have 2 years of experience in a management role. You have strong pricing experience and solid background in airline sales and revenue management. Experience with ATPCO and Fares Manager, SITA, AirPrice or another airline pricing system preferred.
You demonstrates mastery of Airline Pricing and Revenue Management theory and application. You have experience in using Origin and Destination concept . You have solid understanding of commercial processes required by an international network carrier, including network planning, sales and distribution, marketing, loyalty management. Strong commercial sensibility is required. You have the ability to pre-suppose basic market requirements which will assist in making fast and efficient decisions.

People management skills and experience is essential in this role as well as ability to lead and influence at senior management level.
