Regulatory Reporting Manager – Doha – Qatar – Mashreqbank

Job Purpose
The Reporting Manager role is an important role which ensures that the mandatory required reporting to made to the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) & Credit Bureau (CB). The person will also be responsible for facilitating, managing and implementing changes/ improvements and embedding a robust control to ensure the accuracy of reports being sent to the Central Bank.

Key Result Area
o Scrutinize and manage timely preparation of certain Central Bank and Credit Bureau Reports under his/her responsibility.
o Ensure all Qatar Central Bank/Credit Bureau policies, rules and regulations, guidelines and practices are complied with before preparing a report.
o Ensure a list of all reports is prepared prior to their deadlines.
o Ensure all reports are reconciled to the appropriate General Ledger.
o Handle all disputes / complaints which were lodged by clients.
o Coordinate with officials/departments across the Bank to ensure that the customer related data being captured in the system are accurate and periodic reporting to Regulatory are error-free.
o Involve in resolving system related issues which stopping day to day processes/activities.
o Manage data / mapping rectification exercises, such as we are currently performing in respect to our Loan Loss
Provisions for 2013 (Principal Provision and Interest In Suspense data loaded into the QCB online portal diverges considerably from our IFRS accounts, due to incorrect data mapping
o Manage or oversee the Semi Annual Stress Testing for Mashreq Qatar with QCB.
o Involve in resolving system related issues which stopping day to day processes/activities.
o Ensure checking of various daily reports/statements/statistics and corrective/preventive actions are taken.
o Take initiative to achieve business objectives for self and help/support colleagues in achieving theirs.
o Ensure exceptions are recorded and reported in a timely manner.
o Support Centralization and other projects/initiatives.
o Coordinate with Doha officials for rectification of data/reporting(corrective and preventive actions).
o Facilitate with vendors, PMO/MIT for getting the data quality assignments and ensuring the target dates are adhered to.
o Develop and review unit related system and procedures to keep the defined SOP related to the processes updated and suggest changes, raise URF for changes in system to make it more efficient to increase productivity.
o Ensure control on all non-financial activities in consonance with all policies, procedures and delivery standards, ultimately reflecting in satisfactory audit rating and high level of customer satisfactions.
o Coordinate/facilitate in updating customer data in various systems as part of Central Bank Credit Bureau from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
o Bachelor graduate.
o 5-10 years bank operations experience out of which minimum 3-5 years at Credit Bureau and Central Bank Reporting, with thorough and in depth knowledge of banking operations.
o Effective management of Risk and Control
o Ability to coordinate multiple project/task.
o Comprehensive knowledge of general banking activities, Local and International practices.
o Conversant with operating systems, Financial, EDMS, Credit System, Cards Systems.
o Full awareness about Compliance/Regulatory requirements.
o Strong inter-personal, problem solving, communication, analytical skills including PC Skill.
