Logistics Coordinator – Saudi Arabia – Randstad

Job description
Randstad MENA is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator on behalf of a major client. This is a permanent staff position based in Saudi Arabia.

Reports to: Director, Planning and Economics

Overall Job Purpose:
To ensure uninterrupted delivery and receipt of raw materials from suppliers and intermediate products between the two sites of the organization.

Key Accountabilities:
Coordinate the logistics with external suppliers to ensure uninterrupted delivery and receipt of raw materials.
Keep track of relevant inventories to prevent stock-out of the relevant raw materials and intermediate products.
Prepare periodic reports reflecting volume, status, and plans relating to the receipt and delivery of raw materials and intermediate products.
Prepare periodic analysis reports comparing current performance with a measured reference such as Business Plan, Budget, or Forecast, whichever may be most applicable.
Keep abreast of latest developments in logistics relevant to his area of responsibility.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
As applicable, ensure that all aspects pertaining to environment, health, safety, and energy efficiency are taken into consideration in the performance of duties.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Supply Chain Management OR University Degree in Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the supply chain function of a fertilizer manufacturing plant or equivalent

Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in written/spoken English
Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
