Ethics & Compliance Officer – BAE Systems , Saudi Arabia , Riyadh

Your main responsibilities:
The job holder is accountable to the Ethics and Legal Compliance Manager (functionally) for the following activities:
Will be managing the ethical cases around the kingdom and coordinate with ethics officers .
Ensuring that ethical and regulatory compliance is observed throughout the Business
Responsibility for delivering training and updates on key regulatory and technical legal areas and Company policies.
Inputting into, drafting, implementing and ensuring compliance with policies owned by the Legal Function
Ensuring that the highest ethical standards are observed in the business, in line with Company Policies
Support, Head of Ethics and Compliance Identifying, managing and mitigating key risks and liabilities (such as operational, enterprise, Code of conduct, regulatory and compliance risks and liabilities) within the Business
Management of the provision and application of effective client-facing Legal advisory, consultancy, operational and professional services primarily to Line Management, but also to employees.
Providing strategic input to the Specialist Support Team on implementation of Legal and Company initiatives in KSA e.g. Legal Strategy implementation, Behavioural Performance Feedback, Performance Development Reviews, launching of new Legal policies or other Legal initiatives. The job holder then implements these initiatives operationally.
Identifying and implementing business and process improvements. This is especially so with regards to the new businesses in KSA. New policies and processes need to be developed to cater for new Ethics activities, which occur frequently in a new business environment. This also includes assisting KPCs activities .
Ensuring all local Ethics and Compliance activity complies with Company policies, Legal strategy and UK & KSA legislative frameworks, Operational Framework, where appropriate.
Provision of training and coaching service to Line Management on Company Code of conduct policy & procedure.
Responsible locally for all operational Code of conduct issues. Objectives are set and reviewed upon completion of each task or through the PDR process, which is linked to the HR strategy and / or the IP / DP / Business Operations Value Plans.
Compiling and analysis of complex periodic and ad-hoc reports, sometimes containing statistical data that back up recommendations / actions (e.g. discussing options for a complex grievance case). On occasion presenting these reports to Senior Management.
Supporting the Employee Opinion Survey
Currently, acting as the main point of contact on KSA ethics issues for EE’s, including assisting the Head of Ethics and Legal Compliance with needed tasks.

Your Skills and Qualifications:
Experience of compliance and multi-jurisdictional issues/agreements.
Understanding of anti-corruption legislation.
Understanding of Labour Law.
Understanding of Labour Court process.
Good negotiation skills and techniques.
Good investigation skills.
A proven track record in an ethics, compliance or regulatory environment with a large commercial or government organisation.
A solid appreciation and understanding of the BAE Systems Operational Framework, Code of Conduct and ethics initiatives.
Ability to present, whether in advocacy or training.
Effectively uses internal and external knowhow resources e.g. research systems and precedents.
Attends training appropriate to level and develops, facilitates or presents appropriate technical training modules.
Develops legal knowledge within the Business through dissemination of key legislation, case law and available training opportunities.
Awareness of key international treaties and conventions
