HEAD OF MARKETING – New Mowasat Hospital – Salmiya – Kuwait

JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Marketing is responsible for the development of marketing and business strategies to meet the Hospital’s objectives. Evaluates customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implements plans/ changes as needed. Oversees all Marketing, PR, Client Relationship Management, and Advertising, Interior Design / Decor and Promotional activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and obtains approval of annual marketing plan for New Mowasat Hospital and Clinics which details activities to follow during the fiscal year.
Works on a yearly plan for the department and contributes to achieving the strategic plan of the hospital.
Manages and negotiates contracts with media/advertising agencies and suppliers of artwork and marketing material
Ensures coverage of NMH’s events and news through appropriate Arabic and English press releases.
Manages all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution.
Plans and monitors regular update of the Hospital social media activities/ updates including website’s content.
Plans and works on new and innovative marketing strategies to create awareness and improve footfalls of the hospital.
Measure, analyses and improvises efforts in branding, awareness and revenue generating activities.
Monitors the social media channels as specified and maintains the image and branding of the hospital.
Develops and sustains Hospital’s public image by creating and managing public relations; media coverage, internal and external communication design and content, Hospital & Clinic promotions etc.
Business Development Function
Proactively sources and engages in business development opportunities to reach potential clients and customers.
Develops criteria to identify new business opportunities for impending expansion plans.
Generates innovative business development strategies, forms sustainable relationships within the medical community and leads the effort to achieve Hospital objectives.
Monitors external and internal environment for development of new market segments.
Work Approaches healthcare and non-healthcare organizations for business tie ups.
Manages the sponsor’s and sponsorship related activities and keeps the sponsorship committee updated.
Assists in the analysis and preparation of feasibility studies/business plans for new service developments.

General Duties
Supports Hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
Liaises and networks with a range of stakeholders including staff, suppliers, customers etc.
Proactively establishes and maintains effective working team relationships with all departments.
Enhances professional growth, training and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
Effectively manages the complaints and patient feedback systems within the hospital

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline
Experience : EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ experience in the field of Marketing, including Advertising, Sales and/or Public Relations, preferably in Healthcare.
Other skills: Management Skills: Leadership, Negotiation and Presentation skills; Analytical, Creative, Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving skills. Soft Skills: Self Starter with excellent Communication & Inter-personal skills Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook) and Internet Language Skills: Expertise in written and spoken English and Arabic.
Physical & Working Conditions Normally works in an air conditioned office, in clean, well light and pleasant surroundings May require to work long hours under highly stressful conditions to deal with department exigencies. May involve long periods of sitting; telephone and in front of a computer screen. Occasionally stands and walks short distances; bends, stoops and reaches to perform routine job tasks. Involves working under pressure to meet deadlines. Requires the ability to work with a diverse ethnic groups/population, including staff, clients, media professionals and other members of the public
