Role Profile:
Commercial finance lead overseeing annual budgets, monthly forecasting, month end reporting and analysis, operational and management reporting and business analytics to support executive management on decision making. Ensure the above deliverables are being met through the Commercial Finance team comprising of Business Finance Managers and Financial analysts.

The below Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to:
Manage business strategies and Financial planning within the divisions to achieve business objectives:
 Support and lead cross-divisional finance teams to evaluate and/or perform financial analysis of potential new business, cost savings & scenario modelling opportunities.
 Estimating the growth opportunities, analyzing current situation and preparing the business model which reflects the growth and the stability.
 Contribute to the decision making process by undertaking detailed decision support analysis which includes focused analysis on the relevant financial data, providing sound financial advice to support critical decisions
 Support the execution of key financial targets and metrics through the development and implementation of proactive dashboards, measurements and variance analyses.
 Facilitates annual and long term business planning process
 Provides key inputs and supports in the planning process
 Supervise financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk involved in the businesses.
 Oversee insightful monthly analysis on financial performance for Senior Management which focus on product level performance, including margin and volume analysis.
 Drive company-wide initiatives on Cash and Stock Management. Focus on driving cost efficiencies, process improvements and compliance of internal policies.
 Be the liaison between support functions and the business operations.
 Responsible for leading and developing the commercial finance team.
Accountable for assessing financial results accurately and build models for future performance:
 Work with key stakeholders to create accurate forecasts and incorporate P&L insight into the forecasting process and identify cost efficacy opportunities.
 Support businesses for operating and capital budget related matters
 Ensures all minor project finances are monitored and variances captured, summarised, analysed and reported to management.
 Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reports to Group within approved deadline dates.
 Benchmarking and reporting on factors influencing business performance and analyze
monthly financials and prepares various Management Reports as and when required.
Build and support Host Brand relationships hand in hand with operational teams
 Review contracts and support in business modeling for future host brand related projects

 Help drive Growth and Sales Forecast for respective new business in line with company’s growth plan.
Review current processes and systems on an ongoing basis, ensuring enhancements are recommended, analyzed and created, if appropriate and integrated in the business.
 Recommend improvements in financial systems and workflow by ensuring that the businesses processes are in line with best practice and accounting standards.
 Provides training and presents new techniques to improve internal processes, including meetings, planning and facilitation.
 Drive process improvements to capture variances vs ROCI
 Analyzing existing accounting procedures/ systems to attain optimum efficiency levels.
Lead and supervise team, develop internal and external relationships and negotiate to achieve business objectives :
 Supervising the implementation of corporate initiatives and focus areas
 Recruiting, training and developing the commercial finance team.
 Provide business support to other functions including Support functions to assist in decision making.

Knowledge:
 Retail Business
 Graduate/Post Graduate in Finance & Accounts
 MBA with Major in Finance
 Chartered Accountant or CPA

Experience:
 12+ years of experience in commercial finance preferably within retail or similar business
 Minimum of 5+years of managing a team of financial analysts with exposure to executive management.

Skills:
 Commercial/Analytical skills
 Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial matters to senior management.
 Management and planning skills
 Ability to multi-task multiple deliverables.
 Ability to manage relationships at all business levels.
